Time and Relative Blackness in Space

Black TARDIS is now part of Time and Relative Blackness in Space, better known as TARBIS! With Niq Fury at the console, TARBIS will expand to include other media and IP. And Black TARDIS will succeed Who Watch, and continue to cover Doctor Who through podcasts, articles, and more.

✨The Black femme has the box✨

Who Watch: Time and Relative Blackness in Space (TARBIS) began as a Doctor Who aftershow podcast, where rotating members of Black Nerds Create recapped and discussed episodes of the show. Black TARDIS began as a tumblr blog/community for Black Whovians and (d)evolved into a nebulous social media entity critiquing and kiki’ing about the Whoniverse. Independently, but concurrently,  Black TARDIS and TARBIS became voices for Black Doctor Who fandom, and created space and community for BIPOC fans of Doctor Who. Both coexisted and intersected, sharing in enjoyment and critique; even as Niq became part of the BNC team.

After ten years of creation and critical fandom, we’ve closed the book on Black Nerds Create. But though BNC has written its final chapter as an organization, its legacy remains and its work continues. The keys to TARBIS have been handed to Niq. The Black femme has the box! TARBIS—Time and Relative Blackness in Space— will expand to cover speculative fiction across different mediums. Black TARDIS will continue to explore Doctor Who under the TARBIS umbrella.

BNC Who Watch: Time and Relative Blackness in Space (TARBIS) spans five seasons, and covers Doctor Who from series 10 to 14. It includes special Blue Ballot Box episodes where the audience voted on topics for the hosts to discuss. The original Who Watch will remain available to listen to on Spotify and wherever you get your pods!

Black TARDIS will be back soon for the latest Doctor Who, and more TARBIS will soon follow! Watch this ever-regenerating space.
